City Pups

The Problem

Users want more specific information in trying to adopt the perfect pet. The original City Pups site did not include much information on the website about the potential pet and you had to contact the Shelter for a lot of information that could be easily available on the site.

The Sketching Process

I needed to have a clear understanding of the problem I was trying to solve. I listened to users pain points, took notes, and made high impact designs.

Based on user needs, I decided that a more coherent layout was needed to find the perfect pup. Instead of age, sex, location, I included more pertinent information to let potential dog owners know about the dog they want to adopt.

Deciding Sketch

This was the chosen design to forge ahead and create the red route.

I had to decide on the design choice I would be using and had to plot out the red route from beginning to end for when I would be asking the user’s I recruited to go through the prototype.

User Interviews

My experience interviewing was to sit back and listen to user thoughts about the website prototype as they clicked through the process. The goal of this design sprint was to get the users to identify a dog they want to adopt a Labrador named that is within a 5 mile radius.

The Solution

Giving potential pet adopters enough information on the website where they would only have to contact the shelter or rescue when they were interested in meeting or adopting their future pet.
